Top SchoolMiguel Peña is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience building and sustaining mission-critical systems for NASA, NOAA, and defense customers. He has delivered cloud-native, containerized platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines using Python, Django, Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS, and has deep hands-on experience validating planetary data and radar mission workflows. At JPL and Raytheon he supported Perseverance, Curiosity, and the NISAR/NASA-ISRO SAR efforts, while also modernizing telemetry and workstation orchestration for Mars missions. His background as a Navy Information Systems Technician informs a strong operational mindset for reliability, security, and large-scale system maintenance. Miguel combines SRE discipline with full‑stack development skills (PHP/Node/D3 and modern Vue/Nuxt front ends) and a knack for automating repeatable test and deployment processes. Based in Los Angeles, he brings both spaceflight-tested rigor and pragmatic engineering to complex, data-driven projects.
