Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolMikael Johansson is a senior engineering director and startup CTO with 14 years of experience building and scaling high-performance software and AI-driven products. He combines hands-on expertise in ML, distributed systems and full-stack development with a strong track record in people leadership, organizational design and product ownership across multiple scaleups and startups. Mikael has led large engineering organisations and bootstrapped teams and enablement functions that shortened delivery cycles and matured technical leadership. He excels at bridging cutting-edge research and commercial deployment—particularly hardware-aware AI for the edge and generative ad automation—while fostering autonomy, curiosity and measurable process change. Comfortable switching between code, architecture and strategy, he’s as likely to prototype PyTorch models as to design role ladders and succession plans. Based in Gothenburg, he brings entrepreneurial grit and a rare mix of deep systems performance experience and soft-systems (culture/process) fluency.
