Top SchoolMikael Roos is a seasoned software educator and program manager with 16+ years of experience building web and database curricula, running distance learning programs, and developing open-source teaching materials. Based in Jönköping, Sweden, he blends hands-on development (C/C++, Python, JavaScript, PHP, SQL) and devops tooling (Docker, GitLab/GitHub, CI services) with program-level leadership at Blekinge Institute of Technology. He has led large course clusters that served thousands of students, earned a Teacher of the Year award, and directs multi-course degree programs while producing extensive freely available text, video and code resources. As a longtime entrepreneur and former CEO, he pairs academic practice with commercial product and company leadership dating back to telecom and mobile services. Notably, he specializes in combining campus and distance education effectively, making complex systems accessible through practical examples and automated testing workflows. Colleagues describe him as a community-minded builder who teaches by doing—shipping code, courseware and community tools in parallel.
