Senior🎓
Top SchoolMike Brown is a Senior Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building full-stack web and mobile systems, currently owning backend and frontend work for performance management tools at Paylocity. He pairs hands-on engineering with teaching as an adjunct computer science professor, where he leads course development and trains instructors. Mike has a strong background modernizing monoliths into microservices and building payment and deployment systems from his time at Dealertrack and 1-800 CONTACTS. Based in Salt Lake City, he values efficient, low-stress workflows and consistently delivers high-impact features while maintaining work-life balance. Comfortable across C#, rich clients, and web technologies, he brings both production rigor and a maker’s curiosity—his GitHub motto “I like making stuff” reflects a practical, build-first mindset. Unusually for senior engineers, he’s selective about roles and prioritizes flexible, family-friendly arrangements over traditional career or compensation drives.
