Top SchoolMike Cox is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with 13 years of experience building and operating highly available, high-throughput distributed systems across both ten-person startups and ten-thousand-employee tech giants. He specializes in production ownership for Java backend services, large-scale data pipelines, and SRE-led platform tooling—bringing deep expertise in observability, SLOs, and safe deployment practices. Mike has driven reliability and performance work at Reddit, Salesforce, AWS, and Redfin, often embedded with product teams to uplift operational maturity and resolve “unknown-unknown” incidents. He pairs platform development (internal SLO frameworks, service catalogs, CI/CD and multi-tenant Kubernetes) with hands-on incident investigation and telemetry-driven decision making. Based in Seattle, he’s passionate about the long-term product and ecosystem impact of engineering choices and excels at translating that vision into resilient operational practices.
