Senior🎓
Top SchoolMike Dolbow is a seasoned spatial database and GIS leader with over two decades in the geospatial public sector, currently serving as Spatial Database Administrator for Minnesota IT Services. He combines hands-on technical skills—database migrations to PostGIS, cloud migrations to Azure, Python automation, and web mapping—with more than nine years of supervisory experience guiding cross-agency projects and teams. His work spans practical efficiencies (automating updates for 300+ district maps) to strategic program management (negotiating statewide Esri enterprise agreements and steering multi-agency services). Known for turning legacy systems into sustainable, documented platforms, he has repeatedly delivered award-winning, under-budget projects while translating spatial tech benefits to diverse stakeholders. Based in Saint Paul, he brings a curious, waste-averse mindset—“loves maps and hates waste”—that shows up in process improvements and fiscally disciplined technical decisions.
