Top SchoolMike Duin is a Senior Software Engineer in Los Angeles with 15+ years of hands-on full-stack experience focused on data-driven analysis and logic-first problem solving. He blends backend reliability (PHP/Laravel, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) with rich, interactive front ends and has shipped analytics-driven platforms for nonprofits, fantasy-sports competitions, and enterprise reporting. As a technical co-founder and founder of multiple projects, he designs product-grade tooling—from volunteer and donation analytics to algorithmic handicapping engines—that surface actionable insights from complex datasets. At Slalom Build he continues to apply that blend of analytical rigor and pragmatic engineering to client solutions. Outside work he builds game experiences and competitive platforms (notably Battle the Bookies and an NBA All-Star pool) that reveal a penchant for applied statistics and inventive scoring systems. He pairs a USC accounting background with deep engineering chops, making him especially skilled at turning messy financial and event data into auditable, useful metrics.
