Top SchoolMike Fabian is a Senior Software Engineer with 15+ years specialising in internationalization, Unicode, input methods and font technologies across Linux and open-source ecosystems. He has driven platform-wide i18n work at SUSE and continues to advance internationalization at Red Hat, combining deep C/C++ and Perl expertise with Qt certification. Mike’s background spans physics-grade instrumentation software for astronomy to mobile platform development (MeeGoTouch/Nokia N9), reflecting strong systems thinking and proven cross-cultural collaboration. Comfortable in both remote open-source workflows and face-to-face teams, he also led major UTF-8 transitions and maintained hundreds of packages—an unusual blend of low-level text/font plumbing and large-scale distribution maintenance.
