👤
SeniorMike Foley is a seasoned technical marketing engineer and product manager with over three decades of hands-on experience bridging engineering, customers, and go-to-market teams in virtualization and security. He has deep domain expertise in vSphere security, DRS/HA, and Kubernetes-on-vSphere, and led the redesign and successful shipping of vSphere Cluster Services in 8.0 Update 3 to dramatically improve customer satisfaction. A practical technologist and dynamic public speaker, he creates clear written and multimedia guides (including the vSphere with Tanzu Quick Start Guide) that help administrators adopt complex systems quickly. Mike pairs an engineer’s technical depth with a product-minded customer focus, often driving decisions by directly engaging with customers and engineering teams. As an inventor on multiple patents and an early adopter tempered by decades of production experience, he’s known for calling out what matters and relentlessly improving the administrator experience. Currently based in Massachusetts, he automates lab environments for rapid experimentation and enjoys tearing things apart to put them back better.
