Top SchoolMike Fredette is a Desktop Solutions Consultant with eight years of IT experience and a longer track record across higher education and consumer tech, currently managing device fleets at Cal Poly Pomona. He blends hands-on systems administration, end-user support, and device lifecycle management from roles at CSU San Bernardino, University of La Verne, and Apple, with a practical design sensibility rooted in an Intermedia/Multimedia degree. Mike focuses on empowering users through managed environments—framing "management" as a tool for productivity rather than restriction. His background spans technical support, web programming, and graphic design, giving him an unusual mix of UX awareness and backend operational discipline. Based in Corona, California, he brings institutional IT experience that scales from Apple Genius-level customer interactions to campus-wide systems. Outside work his GitHub bio hints at a wry, candid personality that complements a pragmatic, people-first approach to device management.
