Top SchoolMike Harris is a senior cybersecurity consultant with 12+ years of hands-on experience securing federal and commercial systems, currently leading CMMC implementation and NIST compliance for Objective Area Solutions while supporting FAA National Airspace Systems defense programs. He blends deep platform knowledge across Linux, Windows, and Cisco IOS with practical SOC, incident response, and vulnerability management experience honed at Red Hat, Qualcomm, and Mosaic451. A founder of a security consulting and forensics practice, he excels at translating technical risk into operational controls, building CSIRTs, and modernizing vulnerability and SOC processes for diverse customers. Mike holds a Secret clearance and a track record of delivering high-value projects (including multi-week Red Hat platform engagements) and mentoring engineers across teams. He favors breadth over narrow specialization—comfortable from kernel-level Linux administration to program-level compliance—and is known for creating reusable tools and documentation that scale across organizations. Based in the Salt Lake City area, he pairs consulting pragmatism with a history of training and public-facing outreach, including sharing ethical hacking insights on industry podcasts.
