Top SchoolMike Harris is a seasoned software leader with nine years of focused experience designing and delivering asset management and capital markets systems, currently serving as Vice President and Senior Software Developer at Baird in Milwaukee. He is a pragmatic polyglot, shipping production solutions in C#, PowerShell, and Angular while also drawing on experience with Java, React, and data integration tooling from earlier enterprise rewrites. Mike pairs hands-on engineering with sustained people development—leading study groups, coding dojos, book clubs, and agile coaching—to raise team capability and adoption of functional programming and modern practices. A frequent public speaker and former university instructor, he blends deep technical craft with a passion for teaching, often surfacing cross-paradigm ideas (e.g., functional techniques in C#) that aren’t obvious from his job titles alone.
