Top SchoolMike Korcha is a seasoned software engineer based in California with 12 years of experience building backend systems, mobile apps, and infrastructure for research and production environments. He has a track record of practical performance optimizations—most notably increasing a proprietary sensor’s read frequency tenfold and cutting user data retrieval from 12 seconds to under 0.5 seconds—demonstrating both low-level device and high-level system skill. Mike has led mobile teams, taught computer science courses, and maintained Docker-powered platforms and test infrastructure, blending hands-on engineering with mentorship and curriculum development. Comfortable across Android, server-side development, and DevOps, he moves between roles quickly with curiosity and resourcefulness. He holds a BS and an MS in Computer Science from California State University, San Bernardino and prefers solving problems where measurable impact on users or research is clear.
