Mike Lo
Summary
👤
SeniorMike Lo is a Solutions Architect with nine years of experience turning research-grade machine learning and imaging expertise into production-ready platforms, currently helping customers at Databricks. He previously built ML platform and anti-fraud systems at Zoom and scaled consumer-facing ML products and cloud deployments using GKE and Streamlit during an Insight AI fellowship. Trained as a PhD bioengineer at UCLA, he blends high-performance computing and experimental leadership with pragmatic software engineering to solve open-ended, high-stakes problems efficiently. A believer in "work smarter, not harder," he focuses on productivity principles and mindful problem solving to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that reduce operational friction. Based in Mountain View, he brings both academic rigor—authorship on imaging publications and large synchrotron experiments—and hands-on cloud/infra chops to bridge research and production.
