Software Engineer
Portland, Oregon, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorMike Lonergan is a Product Line Manager in Portland with 10+ years turning complex, security-focused SaaS products into intuitive, API-first experiences that reliably retain customers. At VMware Carbon Black he’s led cross-platform EDR search and data-forwarding initiatives that boosted adoption, engagement and renewal metrics while owning docs, data models and integration APIs end-to-end. Known for relentless attention to detail and empathy, he routinely dives into source repos, pricing models and stakeholder handoffs to flush out the “devil in the details” that other PMs miss. He pairs deep technical fluency with a pragmatic Agile/Lean mindset—championing minimal process, faster deploys and data-driven metrics culture. Outside work he facilitates community conversations and mentors emerging product talent, bringing the same curiosity and patience to public forums as he does to product roadmaps. If you need API docs that novices can use and engineers trust, he’s the PM who will make them both accurate and usable.
