Mike Pirog is a seasoned founder and technical leader with 14 years building developer tooling and web platforms from San Francisco. As Co-Founder and CTO at Tandem and co-founder of Lando and Kalamuna, he blends hands-on engineering, product instincts, and ops experience to ship resilient, user-focused systems. He invented developer tools like Kalabox and Lando, demonstrating a commitment to improving developer workflows and open-source ecosystems. Trained in mathematics and forged in pragmatic, skeptical problem-solving, Mike avoids dogma and favors elegant, interdisciplinary solutions at the intersection of science and art. Colleagues know him for wearing many hats—architecture, performance tuning, and customer-facing engineering—while still finding time for surprising creative pursuits.
