Senior🎓
Top SchoolMike Rilee is a systems scientist and founder with a decade of focused experience applying high-performance and parallel computing to Earth science and aerospace systems. He leads Rilee Systems Technologies LLC, building scalable data systems and indexing methods (notably STARE) that make heterogeneous satellite and observational datasets cloud- and supercomputer-friendly. His background spans NASA centers and contractors, contributing to major projects like GISS Model E, ECCO, NOGGIn, and DERECHOS where he combines advanced Fortran, pFUnit testing, and automation for production-ready science software. Mike blends hands-on technical depth in computational physics and HPC with program-level skills in proposal development, IT integration, and acquisition. He is comfortable moving between research, engineering, and operational delivery, and has applied semantic web and AI techniques to aerospace systems design. Based in Derwood, Maryland, he also brings leadership experience from nonprofit governance and coaching, reflecting a rare mix of technical, managerial, and community-facing strengths.
