Senior🎓
Top SchoolMike Silversides is a pragmatic software engineer and co-founder with three decades of hands-on experience solving complex problems across mainframe, web, and mobile environments. He combines deep legacy systems expertise (CICS, IMS, RACF, HL7) with modern web stacks and Java development, having built websites since 1999 and recent Android apps and a Minecraft mod to sharpen Java skills. Mike has repeatedly delivered mission-critical integrations—such as secure SFTP/mainframe transfers and web services for healthcare systems like EMPI and the BC Services Card—while operating in both small contracting teams and large, CMM-assessed organizations. Comfortable from shell scripting and custom C utilities to MySQL/PHP web hosting and CentOS server administration, he favors practical, reliable solutions over novelty. Based in Victoria, BC, he brings entrepreneurial ownership from his long-running S & N Enterprises and a knack for translating longstanding institutional requirements into maintainable, production-ready systems.
