Top SchoolMikhail Aksenov is a Principal Engineer with 11 years of experience building data-driven systems and cloud architectures, currently leading platform efforts at Zaptec in Stavanger. He combines deep expertise in databases (Azure SQL, Postgres, ClickHouse, Scylla, TigerData) with production Go services, occasional Rust, and a strong focus on observability and dashboards. His career progressed from system administration and data management in Russia to senior engineering and cloud architecture roles at Halliburton and Zaptec, giving him practical experience across on-prem and cloud-native environments. Known for turning complex data problems into reliable, measurable systems, he often bridges the gap between data stores and application engineering. A detail that sets him apart is hands-on familiarity with both high-throughput analytical engines and the operational tooling needed to monitor them in production.
