Summary
👤
SeniorMikhail Petrenko is a Staff Software Engineer and cloud data architect with nine years of focused experience delivering large-scale AWS solutions, from sub-millisecond processing to massive batch workloads. He has repeatedly led cloud migrations and built next-generation data platforms that unify low-latency streaming, heavy batch, and OLAP/OLTP requirements using Spark/Scala, PySpark, Java, and serverless AWS services. At RUN he pioneered logging workflows and a unified backend data platform, and more recently led AWS Data Lake efforts at JPMorgan Chase, demonstrating both hands-on coding and strategic architectural leadership. He combines deep expertise in data modeling, query optimization, and infrastructure as code with a pragmatic approach to cost optimization and observability. Mikhail mentors teams, streamlines workflows, and favors solutions that balance performance with operability and compliance. Based in Mars, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes but operating in the US market, he quietly mixes low-level performance tuning with high-level cloud strategy.
