👤
SeniorMilan Sreckovic is a seasoned engineering leader with over 20 years in the industry and more than 15 years managing software teams, currently directing Production Engineering at Shopify. He blends hands-on technical leadership—still spending time coding—with executive management of both small, focused teams and large distributed organizations, and has deep experience in resiliency, SRE, databases and graphics systems. His background spans product first-releases through multi-year release cycles at companies including Autodesk, Mozilla and Alias|Wavefront, reflecting strong delivery discipline and customer-focused iteration. Trained with an M.Sc. in Computer Graphics from the University of Waterloo, he brings uncommon depth in 3D/graphics (C++, CgFX, Alias, Maya) paired with modern backend skills (Ruby, Lua, Python). Known for hiring and coaching high-performing teams, he balances strategic platform thinking with practical engineering tradeoffs to keep systems reliable and releasable.
