Miles Malerba is a seasoned software engineer with 11 years of experience based in Mountain View, California, and over a decade of continuous tenure at Google. He specializes in front-end engineering for large-scale frameworks, contributing to high-profile open-source projects in the Angular ecosystem including core repos like angular/angular and angular/components. His work blends UI/UX polish, accessibility, and internationalization—implementing features such as improved binding support, aria attributes, and ICU/i18n handling—while also owning build and distribution tasks for legacy AngularJS material releases. Colleagues rely on him to bridge documentation, examples, and component code, as he often ships new demos and guides that make complex components approachable. An RIT software engineering alumnus with early industry experience at IBM and Golub Corporation, he brings institutional knowledge of long-lived codebases and release processes. Less obvious: he pairs hands-on compiler/template pipeline improvements with tangible frontend demos, a combination that helps both engineers and end users adopt framework changes.
