Senior🎓
Top SchoolMiles Zimmerman is a Founding Engineer with 13 years of experience building scalable web and cloud systems from first hire to production. Based in San Francisco, he has led engineering at startups and helped migrate and harden infrastructure at scale—moving fleets from Heroku to AWS, designing Terraform modules, CI/CD, and observability best practices. He blends full-stack development (Rails, Ember, React, CapacitorJS, Swift) with SRE discipline, incident response, and security-compliant engineering for high-risk contracts. As an early engineering leader he has shipped hybrid mobile apps and multi-tenant SaaS backends, built greenfield services for container orchestration and encrypted in-flight request transforms, and introduced ML model integrations for product features. He also pursues unconventional technical projects—once proposing bio-inspired spacecraft shielding—illustrating a curiosity that fuels pragmatic, research-informed engineering.
