🤩
RockstarMimi Klein is a Software Engineer based in New York with nine years of professional experience transitioning from a decade in ophthalmic imaging to full-stack web development. She has shipped React-based checkout and front-end experiences at Estée Lauder and J.Crew, contributed to legacy migrations, and served as a codebase maintainer with a strong focus on accessibility. As a former General Assembly instructor and TA, she excels at debugging others’ code and mentoring teammates—skills that translate to effective collaboration on complex codebases. Her projects span full-stack apps using React, Express, and PostgreSQL, and she values Domain-Driven Design for modeling intricate business domains. Outside of engineering, Mimi explores fire performance, which she credits for sharpening her creative risk-taking and rapid learning under pressure. Her background in clinical imaging gives her unique attention to detail and process discipline that she brings to product quality and testing.
