Top SchoolMinghua Sun is a Sr. UX Engineer and Design System Lead at the Massachusetts Digital Service with 11 years of experience building accessible, scalable web experiences for government and education. She is the product lead for the commonwealth web design system Mayflower, blending creative technology, UX design, and front-end development to make public-facing services more usable and consistent. Minghua also teaches graduate students “The Art of Data Visualization” at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, bringing academic rigor to practical design problems. Her background pairs formal study in dynamic media and sensor technology with dual bachelor’s degrees in applied mathematics and graphic design, enabling a rare mix of analytical precision and visual craft. Colleagues describe her as a hands-on leader who moves between pixels and code to ship production-ready components and design systems. Outside of her public sector work, she quietly bridges research and production by applying interactive sensing concepts to real-world user interfaces.
