Top SchoolMingyar Furtado is a backend developer with over 15 years in software engineering and a focused 3+ years building production systems on Elixir, Phoenix, and the BEAM ecosystem. He has led core migrations from Node.js to Elixir, architected event-driven automation and cron-like schedulers, and built robust data pipelines and custom document generation systems for remote-first teams. Comfortable across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL, REST and CI/CD tooling, he blends functional programming principles and OTP design for scalable, maintainable backends. His background spans enterprise ERP, .NET consulting, and global operations support (including ExxonMobil), giving him rare cross-domain experience from embedded enterprise workflows to cloud-native systems. Fluent in English and experienced in distributed international teams, he frequently pairs pragmatic engineering with tooling that accelerates developer productivity, such as custom Mix task scaffolds. Open to remote opportunities, he brings both depth in Elixir and a track record of migrating legacy systems into modern, resilient architectures.
