Top SchoolMingzhou Zhou is a Staff Software Engineer and Applied Researcher at LinkedIn with 14 years of experience building large-scale, foundational machine learning systems and autonomous ML infrastructure. Based in Mountain View, he has advanced from research roles through senior engineering positions to lead applied research efforts that operationalize ML at internet scale. His background includes cloud infrastructure work at IBM Cloud Lab and academic research from a PhD in Computer Science at William & Mary and an Automation degree from Tsinghua, giving him a strong blend of theory and production engineering. Known for turning complex research into reliable production services, he focuses on scalability, robustness, and autonomous model lifecycle management. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic researcher who balances experimental exploration with measurable impact in production. An intriguing detail: despite a heavy production focus, he maintains a succinct GitHub footprint ("42") suggesting selective, high-impact contributions rather than broad public output.
