Summary
Minkyu Je is an associate professor at KAIST with over two decades of experience designing advanced analog, mixed-signal, and wireless ICs for biomedical, sensing, and mobile applications. He transitioned from industry (Samsung RF transceiver SoCs) to leading multidisciplinary research teams at A*STAR’s Institute of Microelectronics, where he managed large labs and programs bridging public-funded and industry projects. His work spans smart sensor interfaces, ultra-low-power wireless transceivers, implantable biomedical ASICs, and 3D IC integration, reflected in 220+ peer-reviewed publications and 30+ patents. Minkyu combines deep hands-on ASIC design with program-level leadership—having run departments of ~50 researchers and directed neurodevice research funding. He is active in the solid-state circuits community through ISSCC and A-SSCC committees, and often translates lab prototypes into industry-collaborative projects. Based in Daejeon, he blends rigorous academic research with practical system-level delivery for emerging miniature biomedical and ubiquitous sensing systems.
