Summary
🤩
RockstarMirko Dziadzka is a Staff Engineer based in Regensburg with 11+ years building and leading application security teams for high-scale load balancers and WAF products at Avi/VMware (now Broadcom). He combines deep Unix roots and systems-level thinking with hands-on coding in C, C++, Python and Go to deliver features like bot management, IP reputation and geo-location services. Mirko’s background as a sysadmin-turned-architect informs a strong automation mindset—he routinely applies Ansible, Terraform, Docker and orchestration patterns to tame operational complexity. He mentors teams on secure development practices, CI/CD and test-driven workflows while remaining active in the OWASP community. Not obvious from titles: he’s repeatedly built distributed WAF platforms from scratch and has experience teaching IT security at university level. Practical, security-first, and comfortable moving between low-level implementation and product leadership.
