Summary
👤
SeniorMitch Shao is a senior software engineer with over 13 years of hands-on experience designing distributed systems and cloud platforms, currently building serverless container infrastructure on Azure Container Instances. He combines deep technical ownership with product sensibility, having independently architected core cloud platform functions and led Alauda from a 10-person startup to a 220-person market leader in China. Mitch has a strong track record launching high-impact features quickly—shipping storage and network isolation capabilities under aggressive timelines and founding a log-management SaaS that gained 100 users in its first month. His background spans major consumer and e-commerce platforms at Amazon and TripAdvisor, where he improved reliability, scalability, and automation across large stacks. Based in Kirkland, WA, he brings startup agility and enterprise-grade engineering discipline, and is comfortable moving between low-level systems work and customer-facing product decisions. An early adopter of container and cloud-native tech, he thrives on turning nascent technologies into production-ready services.
