Senior🎓
Top SchoolMitchell Fierro is a software engineer with nine years' experience building cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems, currently contributing at Column in San Francisco. His background spans hands-on engineering at Google and Amazon, TPM work managing budget and automation for Google's supplier infrastructure, and core infrastructure roles automating Kubernetes, Istio, and multi-region networking at CloudKitchens. He’s practical with observability and cost management—having implemented OpenCensus/Envoy stacks and GCP cost controls—and has experience with large stateful systems like multi-region CockroachDB clusters tunneled over WireGuard. Comfortable moving between individual contributor and program-level responsibilities, he blends low-level systems work with process automation to improve operational clarity and P/L accuracy. Colleagues would note his ability to translate complex infrastructure needs into auditable, revenue-aware solutions.
