Senior🎓
Top SchoolMitchell Lombardi is a Software Engineer II with 11 years of professional experience and over 7 years focused on building high-performance, type-safe web applications. Currently at BigCommerce, he brings a full-stack background spanning Angular front-ends, Node.js/TypeScript APIs, and performance-focused backend work. His prior roles include refactoring MySQL queries for 60% faster searches, optimizing Redis usage, and shipping cross-platform mobile apps and CAD integrations—demonstrating a practical blend of product-facing UX improvements and low-level performance tuning. Comfortable across the stack, he has designed database schemas, implemented unit testing practices, and iterated on post-launch fixes driven by customer feedback. Based in Meriden, Connecticut, Mitchell pairs an electronics-leaning technical foundation with a CS&E degree from UConn, which informs his pragmatic approach to systems engineering. He’s the sort of engineer who surfaces subtle performance wins while keeping an eye on usability and maintainability.
