Top SchoolMitchell Stein is a Security Consultant with eight years of hands-on experience blending offensive security, software engineering, and web development. A Florida Polytechnic University graduate with a BS in Computer Science, he has progressed from software and web roles into focused attack-and-penetration engagements at Optiv, Open Security, and now Black Hills Information Security. He brings practical experience building and testing systems across .NET, networking, and web stacks, informed by earlier roles as a TA in Unix and Computer Animation that sharpened his tooling and scripting skills. Comfortable both writing production code and exploiting its weaknesses, Mitchell is adept at turning technical findings into actionable remediation for enterprise clients. Based in Lakeland, Florida, he favors pragmatic security that balances thorough technical analysis with clear communication to stakeholders. He quietly bridges the developer and red-team perspectives, making him effective at finding issues others might miss.
