Mo Frank Hu is a postdoctoral research fellow at Peking University with 11 years of experience developing ultra-sensitive single-cell proteomics and sequencing methods. He builds end-to-end pipelines from sample preparation to bioinformatics, tunes state-of-the-art mass spectrometers for maximal sensitivity, and implements both TMT-labeling and label-free strategies to measure proteins from hundreds of cells down to single cells. His work has enabled simultaneous measurement of protein and mRNA in the same cell and revealed functional proteome modules and developmental events in early mouse embryos. As a hands-on leader he established a proteomics facility, leads a fast-paced team, and has driven multiple publishable projects from scratch—reflecting both deep technical craftsmanship and an experimentalist’s ethos summarized by his Github motto, "敬天爱人."
