Mog Nesbitt is an experienced technology leader and founder with 15 years building high-performance engineering organisations across New Zealand and internationally. Currently Head of Technology at Cogo, co-founder of Ternary, and vCTO/vCOO at Summer of Tech, he combines hands-on delivery with strategic change—rewiring operating models, cloud migrations, and platform decisions at scale. He’s known for creating learning-driven cultures (10% L&D, mentorship programs like Winter Mentor) and for reorganising leadership roles to boost focus, autonomy and career growth. Mog has repeatedly grown teams and delivery units from small research groups to commercial organisations while guiding product and commercial strategy. Outside of work he’s active in community projects, plays piano, and writes about leadership and radical candour, bringing a thoughtful, human-centred approach to technical transformation.
