Top SchoolMohamed Hafez is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable web and search systems across e-commerce and high-traffic consumer platforms. Currently at Wayfair in Berlin, he has a track record of migrating monoliths to microservices, designing resilient back-end architectures and integrating payment and messaging systems. His background includes leading technical architecture and web teams at Aqarmap and contributing to data-intensive search and crawling systems used for investigative analytics. Comfortable across PHP frameworks, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker and message queues, he focuses on practical solutions that improve performance and observability. Mohamed combines hands-on implementation with cross-team communication skills honed in multinational remote teams, and his Free Code Camp full‑stack training complements a formal commerce degree that informs product-minded engineering. A detail not obvious from job titles: he has repeatedly driven search and migration projects that scaled to millions of monthly visits while improving team technical processes.
