Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolMohammed Khan is a Senior Data Engineer based in Toronto with nine years of engineering experience and over four years focused on modern data platforms, notably leading migrations from BigQuery to Databricks Lakehouse for multi-terabyte datasets. He builds and productionizes scalable batch and streaming pipelines using Spark (PySpark), Apache Beam, and dbt, and drives CI/CD and IaC practices with GitHub Actions and Terraform to shorten delivery cycles. His practical experience spans GCP (GCP-certified) and AWS services, and he has operationalized complex Dataproc and Cloud Functions workloads into Databricks Spark jobs. Mohammed pairs hands-on coding with analytics engineering—delivering automated dbt models and Looker visualizations that turn raw data into business insights. Colleagues rely on him to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders, and he has a track record of improving team productivity through automation during large-scale platform transitions. An uncommon strength is his combined academic background in big data (Master’s) and early research experience in software-defined networks, which informs pragmatic designs for distributed data systems.
