Top SchoolMollie Zhang is a senior engineer at SpaceX with over a decade of aerospace and big data experience, specializing in architecting large-scale data platforms and guiding cross-functional engineering teams. She blends deep Java/JEE, microservices, and AWS expertise with strong database design and performance tuning across DynamoDB, MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL. At SpaceX she leads end-to-end architecture for big data projects, solves core technical challenges, and drives external technical communication and productization of data capabilities. Her background spans hands-on operations—deploying and optimizing platforms with Jenkins, Maven and Tomcat/WebLogic/WebSphere—to higher-level data architecture and R&D of frontier technologies. Trained in computer science at Shanghai Jiao Tong and statistics at Stanford, she couples rigorous analytical thinking with practical systems engineering. Colleagues rely on her for clear technical vision and for translating complex data problems into stable, production-grade solutions.
