Top SchoolMorshed Akther is a Senior Data Engineer with 9 years of experience building cloud-native big data platforms and production-grade streaming and batch pipelines across energy and finance domains. Currently at Eneco, he partners with data scientists to design integrated portfolio models and scalable data platforms that inform trading strategy, risk and valuation using Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka and Azure. He has a strong track record migrating traditional data warehouses to modern cloud platforms (GCP and Azure), applying Kappa/Lambda architectures, infra-as-code with Terraform, and bringing software-engineering best practices to data engineering. Known for operationalizing and automating monitoring of pipelines and optimizing cloud costs, he combines hands-on coding in Python and Java with architecture-level decision making. His background includes transforming monolithic backends into containerized microservices and running petabyte-scale multi-tenant data lakes, reflecting a rare blend of systems thinking and delivery focus. Based in Amsterdam, he pairs pragmatic technical leadership with a keen interest in turning high-volume data into actionable business insight.
