Top SchoolMstsislau Babakou is a Berlin-based Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building high-throughput backend systems and cloud-native infrastructure, currently working at DataRobot. He specializes in Go (5 years), Linux, and both SQL and NoSQL databases, with deep hands-on expertise in microservices, DevOps practices, and Terraform-managed AWS platforms. Across roles at Vay, WATTx, Affise and Wargaming he led tech initiatives, ran multiple teams concurrently, and improved delivery velocity by modernizing legacy routing platforms and introducing CI/CD and observability tooling. He has shipped production-grade IoT and high-load B2C systems, integrating third-party services like Garmin and Google, and is comfortable bridging Go services with C++ components when needed. Known for pragmatic technical leadership, he is as likely to write device firmware in Go as to design scalable infrastructure-as-code for Kafka, Kinesis and managed DBs.
