Senior🎓
Top SchoolMyroslav Zapukhlyak is a Senior Data Manager and DPO based in Heidelberg who blends 3+ years of AI engineering and cloud-native data architecture with over a decade of deep domain expertise in computational biology, genomics, and biophysics. He designs agentic LLM/VLM-powered workflows and scalable AWS/Kubernetes pipelines for medical and scientific applications while embedding GDPR and ISO-aligned data governance into production systems. His background includes 15+ years of theoretical and computational physics research—culminating in a PhD with top grades—which informs a rigorous, simulation-driven approach to software and algorithm design. Comfortable across languages from Python and R to C++ and Fortran, he bridges high-performance computing, numerical modeling, and bioinformatics at scale. Unusually, he pairs hands-on scientific software development with formal responsibilities as a data protection officer and independent evaluator for EU R&I projects, giving him both technical depth and regulatory perspective.
