Top SchoolNadia Asparouhova is a researcher and builder with a decade of experience shaping developer and writer experiences at organizations like GitHub, Protocol Labs, and Substack. She joined Substack as its second employee, helping grow its writer community and translating creator needs into product direction. Nadia’s work focuses on the economics and production of open source software—research that produced a well-regarded book and a Ford Foundation–funded report uncovering the hidden labor of digital infrastructure. She blends hands-on program and partnership building with thoughtful public-facing writing, making complex systems and incentives legible to broader audiences. Based in Miami, she combines academic training in political and environmental sciences with deep practical experience in developer ecosystems. A less obvious strength is her ability to move between research, narrative, and product roles, turning scholarly insights into tangible platform improvements.
