👤
SeniorNalu Concepcion is a founder and software engineer with nine years of experience building systems at the intersection of cloud, AI, and education, currently based in San Francisco. After roles at Microsoft contributing to agentic recommendation engines and security-focused .NET services for Azure, Nalu has founded startups including Idler (building RL environments) and Widget Factory, and participated in YC S25. A Cornell CS & ORIE graduate, they have a strong teaching and mentorship background—delivering private CS instruction that helped students land internships and admissions at top programs. Their background spans product, infrastructure, and data science, with hands-on experience shipping resilient cloud services and developer tooling. An eclectic reader whose favorites range from Ted Chiang to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Nalu combines technical rigor with literary curiosity, which surfaces in user-focused, thoughtful product design. Outside core engineering, they’ve co-founded community-focused ventures and run educational projects that translate complex ideas into accessible learning experiences.
