Top SchoolNaoki Yoshinaga is an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo with over a decade of experience in Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics, focused on designing novel, high-impact NLP tasks rather than revisiting established benchmarks. With a PhD in Computer Science and a background that spans research fellowships, industry labs (RIKEN R-CCS, NICT), and a visiting stint at Sussex, he blends deep academic rigor with applied research perspective. He has steadily progressed through academic ranks since 2002, demonstrating sustained leadership in task formulation and methodology. Trained originally as a physicist, he brings an interdisciplinary mindset that surfaces in creative problem definitions and cross-domain approaches to language problems.
