Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolNarek Maloyan is an AI Engineer and PhD candidate with nine years of hands-on experience building production ML systems, now focusing on autonomous coding agents at Zencoder. He has led end-to-end projects across recommendation, computer vision, and medical imaging—shipping movie and short-video recommenders, face-swap and avatar generation pipelines, and MRI analysis tools that serve clinicians. Comfortable across Python, PyTorch, Go, and production infra (Postgres, Redis, Airflow, Docker), he blends research depth from MSU with pragmatic engineering at Viasat, TrendMD, and healthcare institutions. Notably, his work spans both model innovation (segmentation, NLP, uplift modeling) and systems engineering for evaluation and deployment, such as competition pipelines and semantic search. Based in Yerevan, he brings a rare mix of academic rigor and product-focused delivery that accelerates bringing complex ML into production.
