Top SchoolNate Angell is a founder and communications leader with 11 years of experience building sustainable growth at the intersection of community, technology, strategy, and public-facing institutions. He has led marketing, communications, and community efforts at mission-driven organizations such as Creative Commons, Hypothesis, and Lumen Learning, and now helms Nudgital to connect people, ideas, and technologies for social impact. Nate’s background spans higher education, open-source foundations, and startups, giving him a rare fluency in policy, governance, and meaningful learning initiatives. Based in Portland, he blends academic rigor from Brown and Columbia with hands-on product and growth roles, and is known for evangelizing open knowledge while quietly cultivating networks that amplify influence beyond conventional marketing. An eclectic thinker—“wandering IQ” and self-described friend to cheese—he brings a creative, justice-oriented sensibility to pragmatic growth and community design.
