Top SchoolNate Dolensek is a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley with nine years of experience decoding how emotions arise by combining systems neuroscience with modern computational methods. Trained at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität and the Max Planck Institute, he applies unsupervised behavior analysis and neural recording techniques to link brain activity to expressive behavior. Comfortable at the intersection of psychology, social neuroscience, and HCI, he brings methodological breadth from a PhD in systems neuroscience and doctoral training in research methods for HCI. Based in Berkeley with roots in Europe, he blends rigorous experimental design with novel data-driven analytics to reveal subtle, often overlooked patterns in affective behavior.
