Top SchoolNathan Bekenov is a Lead DevOps Engineer based in Virginia with nearly a decade of hands-on experience designing resilient cloud platforms and automation at scale. A former AWS engineer, he has led migrations of monolithic systems to serverless and containerized architectures, cutting release times by roughly 80% and improving performance and availability across teams. He builds repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code, data lakes, and observability stacks using tools like Terraform/CDK, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana to drive faster incident response and data-driven decisions. Nathan pairs automation-first engineering with security-minded cloud design, having strengthened cloud posture and compliance during large migrations. He is equally comfortable creating reusable APIs and pipeline modularization as he is mentoring teams—an operator who translates complex architectures into measurable business outcomes. His background in applied math and economics gives him a pragmatic, metrics-oriented approach to reliability and delivery.
