Top SchoolNathan Carnes is a product and engineering leader with 15 years of experience building scalable web and mobile products, currently serving as Director of Product at Bento. He combines hands-on full-stack development, design, and product strategy—moving between API integrations, UI/UX, and infrastructure work—so he often acts as the hinge between engineering, design, and business teams. Previously as Chief Product Officer at ActionSprout he led teams, rewrote failing infrastructure into a low-maintenance system handling millions of visits and billions of jobs, and guided a migration from a Rails monolith to a microservice architecture with an EmberJS SPA. He founded and ran a successful digital agency, co-founded early-stage SaaS products that exited, and teaches community-focused tech through volunteer advisory work. Based in Bellingham, Washington with a BA in Anthropology, he brings entrepreneurial resilience and a rare blend of technical depth and product design sensibility to mission-driven startups.
