Senior🎓
Top SchoolNathan Quarles is a Senior Software Engineer based in Raleigh, NC with 11 years of full-stack experience building web and mobile applications for clients and enterprise teams. He specializes in frontend-heavy React ecosystems (Redux, D3, Rx) while also delivering Node.js REST APIs and backend services, consistently shipping practical, maintainable solutions. His background spans consulting, freelancing, and in-house roles—where he’s built CMS-driven sites, admin interfaces, and bespoke booking and data systems using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Docker, and common frontend stacks. At Booz Allen and Railroad19 he focused on production-grade UIs and testable frontends; earlier roles in China sharpened his product, localization, and client-facing skills. He pairs hands-on engineering with client communication and product sense, having grown and sold a profitable short-term rental business where he coded the booking system himself. Known for converting ambiguous requirements into working apps, he brings a pragmatic, cross-cultural perspective to complex projects.
